Pokemon Pearl/Platinum was a big part of my childhood, so hearing masterful recreations of their OSTs is so wonderful and hesrt-warming. Carlos always kills it with his covers, and this is probably my favorite collection of his work so far.

The album sounds amazing on CD and it's nice having this amazing album on physical media. Insaneintherainmusic recalls fond memories of Gen 4 with this lovingly made recreation of Sinnoh's soundscape, with lots of fun little changes and additions to make each track (from the major themes to the small ones) pop in the best.

As a musician myself, I can say with certainty that these fine people poured their souls into this collection, and boy does it show.
If you’re on the fence about this, and you’re worried that it might not be faithful or loyal to that nostalgic tingly feeling you know and love, allow me to say with confidence that this collection is absolutely what you’re looking for.
It is stylized, but done in such a subtle yet powerful way that it just seamlessly blends in like it was always meant to be there.
